Official opening of the Central chemical laboratory in Stara Zagora

“BalBok Engineering” AD is pleased to inform you that on 25 May 2016 at 13.00 pm, officially opened its new Central chemical laboratory equipped under the project "Eco-innovative system for management of waste with unknown composition and origin in Bulgaria", situated in the building of the Centre for development of ecological infrastructure (CDEI-CHL), Stara Zagora.

The project is supported by a grant from Norway through the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009-2014, in the frame of Programme Area BG 10 – Green Industry Innovation.

The Central Chemical Laboratory (TSHL) for qualitative and quantitative analyzes of samples of waste is the biggest achievement of the project. The others include: operating Mobile chemical laboratory foe sampling and analysis on site; Manual for identification of waste and Information System.

The event was attended by Ms. Anne Lise Rognlidalen - Programme Manager Programme "Green Industry Innovation", Innovation Norway, Ms. Ventseslava Yanchovska - Manager Innovation Norway, Bulgaria, the governor of Stara Zagora Eng. George Ranov, general secretary of the regional administration Maria Aleksieva, director of the Regional Inspectorate - Stara Zagora Dr. Petya Papazova deputy Mayor of Stara Zagora Krasimira Chahova, prof. Alexander Nikolov from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, as well as representatives of Innovation Norway in Romania and Poland, the BalBok team of CDEI-CHL, the media.

The Central chemical laboratory will perform analyzes of waste and materials and research work, related to development and testing of technologies for their treatment. The establishment of the composition of the waste would allow environmentally safe treatment and disposal of their hazardous components. The proper identification of waste at CHL ensures safety of all operations with them.
